The Fire Safe Council of Southwest Escondido, a non-profit organization, is a part of San Diego County’s program dedicated to increasing fire safety awareness and preparedness, managing fire hazards, and supporting forest health in Southwest Escondido.
Things we do include:
● Actively promote fire safety by helping homeowners control flammable vegetation and fire-proof their property.
● Improve the community’s understanding of the wild fire threat and the homeowner’s role in preserving California’s natural resources.
● Exchange information and coordinate efforts with local fire prevention organizations throughout San Diego County on behalf of the residents of Southwest Escondido.
● Assist in post-firestorm recovery.

Free and low-cost programs are available to suit a variety of specific needs. Grants may be available to clear your dry brush or low cost programs such as Urban Corps of San Diego County. Contact us for details.
